Think of Greenwich and then you will then think of the Greenwich Park, the varied markets, or the Cutty Sark and the Gipsy Moth IV boats locked in dry dock.

The Maritime Museum sits under the Observatory, popular for the time-ball on the roof and the planetarium within, but a part of every child's existence by virtue of the famous brass strip outside, delineating the longitude of 0° 0' 0". By the Observatory on the crest of the hill in the park is a fantastic view over the Isle of Dogs to the City and the West End and the deer that first appeared here in 1515 still roam the area known as The Wilderness. On the other side of the College is the warren of streets and markets that make up the heart of town. The two major markets are the covered Charter Arts and Crafts market, surrounded by equally outlandish shops, and the open air Antique market, a vast sprawl hard by the station. A newcomer is the Bosun's Yard in the shadow of the Cutty Sark and an older representative is the open-air food market.

Gastronomes are in for an equal delight and can call on the Four Corners of the world at Goddard's Pie House, North Pole, Café Sol and Taste Of India.

The Jubilee Line now has a brand new station at North Greenwich by the Dome, connecting it to the East End and the Isle of Dogs. There is also the DLR extension.
