Restaurants in Notting Hill
A guide to Notting Hill and restaurants around Notting Hill
Notting Hill - W11
Notting Hill is of course known for Portobello Market, The Notting Hill Carnival, residences of the rich and famous and of course the film of the same name.
The famous Portobello Market stretching from Ladbroke Road to Notting Hill Gate has stalls selling everything from innovative crafts, ethnic food and second-hand goods (at the Ladbroke Road Tube end) to, fruit 'n' veg stalls, bars, eateries and antique stalls (at the Notting Hill Gate Tube end).A map of the Notting Hill area.
It's a great way to spend a Saturday (the best, but busiest day) browsing record stalls or flicking through posters and pictures. But, what about the food? Well, if you manage not to succumb to the Indian meat or vegetable curries or the Carribean jerk chicken stalls then, you may end up at one of the numerous cafes or restaurants on or around the area.
The annual Notting Hill Carnival takes place on the bank holiday weekend at the end of August. View a map of the route and get more Carnival information from the Official Trust site.
Notting Hill leads the way when it comes to original high quality, local restaurants, cafés and bars. Our favourites include Hartford Group's Dakota and Pharmacy; Geales, Assaggi and Mandola. Also, let us not forget Antony Worrall Thompson's Wiz restaurant.
