Rating: Went on a Sunday evening: took 40 minutes for the starter of Vegetarial Meze to arrive. When we asked for the bill after our meal, we were kept waiting for it for another 15 minutes. When I requested them to please hurry up with the bill as my friend had to catch her train, they said, "The chef is talking on the phone right now, so we can't use the credit card machine."The food is ok, although I would recommend a few other places around (like Zilouf's across the road) for the same price range, where the atmosphere and service is better. 7599

Rating: I chose this place on the basis of good reviews, not knowing that part of London well, and was not disappointed. Lovely food, good sized portions and decent wine list. However what really made the place for us was the service. I felt like I'd been going there years. Will certainly try and pay another visit when I'm next in London.7559

Rating: This was the worst meal I have eaten in Upper Street in the 20 years I have lived in Islington. There are much better and cheaper places to eat within a stones throw of Tod's. Avoid.7547

Rating: Tod's was a wonderful evening. Great intimate atmosphere, but not stuffy, it felt like a french bistro; all the emphasis was on the wonderful food. We had mussels for starter, which was divine, and a large portion even sharing between 2!!... Gorgeous garlicy cream sauce and massive plump mussels. We had duck (a special) and steak for main couses and both were great. A complimentary whiskey and bottle of wine and the meal was still only £27 each including a generous tip for the very relaxed and attentive waiters who let us take our time over our meal. Really a fantastic little find!! 7539

Rating: I love this place! I was introduced to Todd's Grill by a close friend and I keep going back. The service is superb and the atmosphere friendly, romantic, etc - whatever you want it to be - that's what it is.The food is such good value for money and this usually means alright food on the cheap - not so for these guys. Lovely food, especailly the chicken liver starter and the king prawn starter, great steaks, the list is endless and all for a very reasonable price. Love the place, hence why I am arranging a second birthday celebration there! 7311

Rating: Having been back to Tod's Grill some more, I would just like to say that I think 8/10 was too low for their score.I don't eat out that often at the moment, but eat more at Tod's Grill than anywhere else. They also stock my favourite wine - which I hadn't spotted at my last time of writing. 6180

Rating: My girlfriend and I have returned to this restaurant a number of times since having an excellent first experience after stumbling across it almost by mistake. The service is attentive but not intrusive, the food is of excellent quality but great value and the atmosphere relaxed and intimate. There's not a massive selection of dishes for strict vegetarians however there are plenty of fish options and the beef fillet is as good as any I've had from more expensive establishments. If you're looking for a place to go for a easy but nice weeknight meal I can't recommend Tod's highly enough. 5983

Rating: Everytime I get visitors comming to London, I always take them to Tods grill. The staff is very friendly and always greets you with a smile. You always feel welcomed and the service is great. And on the menu side,, everyone can find some thing they like. Also check out the specials.its not in the busy part of upper street but its worth walking 5 minutes for a good food at great value.5969

I fully recommend this as a place to go for good food at great value. This place is well worth the walk from the main restaurant focussed part of Upper Street. 5809

Rating: I went to this restaurant for my work Christmas meal. This is a restaurant to avoid at all cost. The food was mundane to say the least. Tasteless is a word that springs to mind. The meal began with me ordering and paying for what I thought was courvoisier brandy with a coke mixer. When I tasted my drink, it was clearly not courvoisier. I approached the staff and told them it was not courvoisier that I had ben given. The staff argued that it was so I asked them to show me the bottle of courvoisier where the drink came from only to be told that admittedly it was not courvoisier that I had been given to drink. The food was bland and the sea bass was as near to tasteless as you could get. The lumpy chocolate dessert was too thick and rich. The only passable plate I had was the king prawns and scallops wrapped in panchetta on a skewer. I would not be returning to this restaurant to eat, nor will I be recommending this restaurant to anyone.5675
