LondonEats.com Review:
A top notch Carribean meal that will cost on average £20 per person at this very popular eatery. The innovative menu combines traditional with modern and is spicy and fairly fish focused. For example, salt-fish souse - a zesty fish salad served with molten-iron chilli salsa with a bake - fried dumpling. As a main dish you might try Parrot-fish calypso - a meaty fish in a lime-and-pepper sauce. There is an interesting selection of Rum cocktails which add to the taste of the Caribbean. With a relaxed atmosphere, the famous BB's Crabback (a crabshell filled with crab meat and a cheesy, creamy sauce) and also their home made ice cream - it's well worth the price.

Sam Sunday, April 11, 2004 | Rating: Comments: "Overpriced & overated. Average food and expensive for what you get. There are better places in ealing - try Retsina and Moussaka further up Uxbridge Road, a smashing Greek/Cypriot restaurant that never fails to give value for money and excellent quality food." ARE VERY MISLEADINGThis is a fantastic restaurant, and would have to be amongst the best West Indian in London. You'll not be disappointed. Food is all fresh, authentic and tasty, (the Greek Moussaka mentioned above aint), the service is fab, and there's a vibrant atmosphere If you go, don't forget the food is very fresh, and thus is a little more expensive than your Curry house (which are rarely fresh). & Vegetarians are well catered for! 2063 |
AM Saturday, November 01, 2003 | Rating: Fantastic and unique food, full of flavour. Rice & Peas were delicious, curried goat extremely tender, flying fish very tasty. Great service & vibrant atmosphere makes up for the slightly pricey menu. 1365 |
