Sammy Sunday, November 08, 2009 | Rating: We had a fabulous time at Efes2 last night. The staff could not do enough for us so I had a brilliant time on my birthday. Food was gorgeous with meat thats melts on the knife. We danced, danced, danced till we dropped. Even had a go up with the belly dancer. Live music and singer were so good we have booked up to go again for our Christmas party. Will be 42 of us next time and we can't wait. 7430 |
pippa Tuesday, November 03, 2009 | Rating: I also had a party at Efes 2 on 3rd October 2009, and I think we must have been sitting next to Lisa's table - re previous comment. We all had a wonderful time, food was brilliant - the lamb was pink and succulent - just the way it should be, service so attentive, music and entertainment excellent albeit a bit loud at times. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be having a great time too, except for one big table of about 20 people near to us - they were making so many problems for the staff right from the minute they came into the restaurant, seemed to be complaining about everything and really making a nuisance of themselves. I heard them even complaining about the prices of drinks, these are all shown in the wine lists and as for her comment about service being added - what is the problem, most restaurants add a service charge to the overall bill. This group was obviously trying to be out on the cheap and cause problems. Efes has a few small things they need to sort, but they still provide excellent value for money, where else in Central London can you get a 4 course menu with loads of meat cooked perfectly medium; live entertainment from 9pm until about 2:30pm for £22 per person! Compared to other places I have been for food and entertainment, eg Maroush, Cyprus Meze Bar; Efes 2 is still the best value. 7426 |
Lisa Sunday, October 04, 2009 | Rating: Went to the Efes2 on the 3rd October with 21 friends and family celebrating my fathers birthday. The food was raw, one of our guests never had their dinner, we told a waiter they said it was on its way, 10 mins later still no meal for him told another waiter he found the dinner at the end of the table and gave it to the guest cold and half eaten. DISGUSTING. The meals wa £22.00 and the charged us with service charge £22.20. We should have been paid for eating the!*!*. Each drink ordered had a service charge added to it aswell as at the end of your bill an overall service charge was added on top. I complaint to the manager about the food, and service he gave me £40 discount for the raw food. I always used to go to the Efes 2 every year, but i will never go now it is not the same, waiters are rude, food was!*!* and the service was very poor. Its a rip off now its all about their profits. Think carefully before putting foot in that place 7395 |

christine scrutton Friday, January 30, 2009 | Rating: We went for our anniversary which was on a Monday night. We arrived to an empty restaurant. I wanted to leave but my husband said to give the food a try and, if good, we would return on a weekend. The toilet was dirty, unkept and smelt which made we wonder what the kitchen was like! The food arrived. The Houmus was tasteless and so was the rice. The only veg they could offer was a quarter of a grilled tomatoe and a chunk of uncooked cabbage which was their impression of iceberg lettuce. Because the lighting was poor, I thought I had a dollop of mash potatoe on my plate until I hit it with my fork. The only things I enjoyed eating were the olives and the chillis which came out of a jar. I left most of my food and waited for the waiter to ask if there was anything wrong. He did not ask and just took the plates away. We paid the bill and left, never to return again. There is a moral in this review and that is always read reviews before you go. I wish I had! Only go if it is the last restaurant in the country and you are very, very hungry and don't mind what you eat.6849 |
